An Emmy Nomination for our Innovating Health series

“Innovating Health,” the Houston Public Media video series sponsored by St. Luke’s Health, recently received an Emmy award nomination.

Houston is a lifeline for patients from around the world seeking the latest innovative health care. Episode 5 of “Innovating Health” (6-minute clip) highlights how the International Services Department at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center provides efficient, holistic, caring, and culturally congruent care.

Local furniture mogul Jim "Mattress Mack" McIngvale spent three days at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center earlier this year. St. Luke’s doctors diagnosed his condition as a bacterial infection called cellulitis, and were able to help McIngvale recover and return to work and his daily activities.

Tomball man gets new lease on life after heart attack and multiple cardiac arrests

When Craig Box suffered a heart attack at his Tomball home last Father's Day, it took his wife, first responders and the experts at St. Luke's Health-The Vintage Hospital to make sure he could be around to celebrate the next. Recently, Craig had the opportunity to return to the hospital to reunite with the people who saved his life.

St. Luke’s Health Hospitals Earn ‘A’ Hospital Safety Grades from The Leapfrog Group

We’re pleased to share that Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center, St. Luke’s HealthSugar Land Hospital, and St. Luke’s HealthThe Vintage Hospital earned “A” Hospital Safety Grades from The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit watchdog focused on patient safety. Additionally, two hospitals in East Texas also received “A” grades.
