The birth of your baby is one of the most exciting events in your life. It is a moment you will cherish and remember always. Whether this is your first or fifth, at St Luke’s Health–The Woodlands Hospital, we offer a variety of classes to help prepare you for childbirth and help you feel more comfortable taking Luke's of yourself and your new baby. Our classes and fees are meant for you and a support person to attend.

  • Family Birthing Center Tour

    Learn where to go and why St. Luke's Health–The Woodlands will give you a VIP—very important pregnancy—experience! You will find compassionate, personalized, family-centered care for you and your new baby! Contact us to learn more about our family birthing center tour.

  • Preparing for Childbirth

    Our Preparing for Childbirth classes help prepare you for the labor and delivery experience here through a free virtual class. Contact Us to learn more about our childbirth classes.

    About Childbirth Classes
  • Breastfeeding Basics (In-Person)

    This class is your first step to learning breastfeeding basics and what to expect in the first few weeks. You will learn about the benefits of breastfeeding and multiple techniques to help you succeed. We encourage partners or a family member to attend with the expectant mom. 
     

    Breastfeeding Classes are from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

  • Newborn Class (In-Person)

    This one-time class includes topics such as caring for mom and baby, diapering and bathing, helpful hints for adjusting to new roles, and health safety issues. Contact us to learn more about our newborn classes. 
     

    Newborn Classes are from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m

  • Infant CPR Classes (In-Person)

    This live class will teach you Infant CPR and choking relief for babies up to one year of age. General safety guidelines and recommendations for infants and toddlers are also included. 

    Infant CPR Classes are from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
