Dr. James Suliburk is a board-certified endocrine surgeon specializing in the treatment of tumors of the thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal gland. He is an Associate Professor and Chief of Endocrine Surgery - Surgical Oncology at Baylor College of Medicine, where he is also Medical Director of Ambulatory Surgery Therapeutics (CfAST) in BCM’s Department of Surgery; and is a member of the Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Dr. James Suliburk is a board-certified endocrine surgeon specializing in the treatment of tumors of the thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal gland. He is an Associate Professor and Chief of Endocrine Surgery - Surgical Oncology at Baylor College of Medicine, where he is also Medical Director of Ambulatory Surgery Therapeutics (CfAST) in BCM’s Department of Surgery; and is a member of the Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Dr. Grogan is one of only a few experts in the United States on Transoral Endocrine Surgery (TES), a novel approach to surgery for both thyroid and parathyroid disease that leaves no visible scar on the neck. Dr. Grogan was one of the first surgeons to perform this operation in the United States, and the first surgeon to perform this operation in Chicago, the Midwest, and Texas. He is also an expert in other forms of minimally invasive thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal surgery.

Dr. Rojas-Khalil is a contributing author to surgical textbook chapters in Current Surgical Therapy, Scientific American Surgery, and The SCORE Curriculum for resident education. She is also the Spanish video commentator and contributing abstract translator for Diseases of the Colon and Rectum, the official journal for the American Society of Colon and Rectum Surgeons (ASCRS). Dr. Amin’s clinical interests include: robotic and minimally invasive surgery; rectal prolapse repair; and colorectal and rectal surgery. Dr. Amin received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Miami and received her medical degree from the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine. She completed her residency at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital and a fellowship in clinical outcomes research at the DeWitt Daughtry Family Department of Surgery where she focused on endocrine and pediatric surgery, and received a General Surgery Clinical Science Research award for her work. She also completed a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Amin is a member of the American Society for Colon and Rectal Surgeons and the Association for Academic Surgery.

His research interests include: multidisciplinary patient care alongside “bench to bedside” studies; and innovative clinical trials in cancer.

She has a strong interest in oncoplastic surgery and works closely with the plastic surgery and reconstructive team at BCM to optimize aesthetic outcomes.
