TLC&'s “The Little Couple” Star Dr. Jennifer Arnold to Serve as Keynote Speaker
St. Luke's Health–Brazosport Hospital (Brazosport Hospital) will host its 4th Biennial Power of the Purse Luncheon this spring. Jennifer Arnold, MD, star of TLC's docu-drama “The Little Couple” and neonatologist at Texas Children's Hospital will serve as the event's keynote speaker. Dr. Arnold has appeared on television programs including Oprah, The Today Show, Good Morning America, Dr. OZ, The Doctors, Wendy Williams, Anderson Cooper, and CNN. The luncheon will also include a silent purse auction and a grand raffle prize purse (valued at $2,500) sponsored by BASF.
Since its inception, Power of the Purse has raised more than $450,000 in support of women's health initiatives. This year, proceeds from the luncheon will go towards the hospital's $1 million Cancer Center capital campaign, which is raising money to purchase a CT scanner and convert Cancer Center space to house the equipment and increase convenience for patients and staff. In addition, Brazosport's president and 2017 Luncheon Honorary Chair, Al Guevara, will share his testimonial about his diagnosis and treatment at the Cancer Center.

Power of the Purse will kick off with a champagne reception offering light appetizers. Guests will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets and mix and mingle before the luncheon begins.
