What started out as a group of friends eating sack lunches in the hallway of St. Luke’s Health-Memorial a quarter-of-a-century ago has morphed into an event that brings together more than 1,200 women every year in Lufkin and Livingston. The luncheon features both hilarious and heartwarming moments that entertain, inspire and provide educational awareness about breast cancer and the importance of early screening. Over the years, Power of Pink! has consistently been voted by The Lufkin News readers as Best of Lufkin for Special Community Event.

Power of Pink! will be held on October 16 at 11:30 a.m. at the Polk County Commerce Center in Livingston and on October 18 at 11:30 a.m. at the Pitser Garrison Convention Center in Lufkin.
