Emergency Information
The safety of St. Luke’s Health patients, guests, and staff is our top priority. We actively monitor and evaluate the threat of severe weather and its potential impact on our communities. Our teams are dedicated to delivering quality care every day, including during emergency situations.
St. Luke’s Health hospitals and ERs are open and providing care to our communities following Hurricane Beryl. Some appointments may be impacted and affected patients will be contacted to reschedule. Patients with questions about appointments may contact their physician’s office for information.
The following resources may be helpful before, during and after severe weather. Please heed the advice of local authorities and call 911 for life threatening emergencies.
State of Texas Emergency Assistance Registry (STEAR): A free registry that provides local emergency management planners and responders with information related to your needs during an emergency.
Ready Harris: Provides access to information on how to prepare for all types of disasters, highlights access to real-time alerts regarding ongoing emergencies, and connects you with state-of-the-art tools available to help plan, recover, and stay safe.
National Weather Service: Provides weather, water and climate data, forecasts, warnings, and impact-based decision support services for the protection of life and property and enhancement of the national economy.
Houston TranStar: A unique partnership of representatives from the City of Houston, Harris County, METRO and TxDOT who share resources and exchange information under one roof to keep motorists informed, roadways clear and lives safe in the fourth most populated city in the United States.
Harris County Flood Warning System: Measures rainfall amounts and monitors water levels in bayous and major streams on a real-time basis to inform you of dangerous weather conditions.
CenterPoint Electric Outage Tracker: Provides approximate locations of current power outages.
CDC: Natural Disasters and Severe Weather: Whether diseases start at home or abroad, are chronic or acute, curable or preventable, human error or deliberate attack, CDC fights disease and supports communities and citizens to do the same.
FEMA: Generator Safety: FEMA's mission is to help people before, during and after disasters.
City of Houston Emergency Management: Cooling Centers: There are several places in Greater Houston for people to take refuge from the heat and access electricity.
