The safety of St. Luke’s Health patients, guests, and staff is our top priority. We actively monitor and evaluate the threat of severe weather and its potential impact on our communities. Our teams are dedicated to delivering quality care every day, including during emergency situations.
For the safety of everyone during the January 2025 winter storm, the following changes are in place for St. Luke’s Health facilities in Greater Houston and East Texas. Affected patients are contacted directly and can reach out to their physician’s office with questions.
Greater Houston
Tuesday, January 21: Outpatient and clinic appointments are rescheduled.
Wednesday, January 22: Outpatient and clinic appointments before noon are rescheduled.
East Texas
Tuesday, January 21:
Clinics in Lufkin and San Augustine will delay opening until 1pm.
Clinics in Livingston are closed.
St. Luke’s emergency rooms and hospitals remain open to serve our communities.

Harris County Flood Warning System: Measures rainfall amounts and monitors water levels in bayous and major streams on a real-time basis to inform you of dangerous weather conditions.
CenterPoint Electric Outage Tracker: Provides approximate locations of current power outages.
CDC: Natural Disasters and Severe Weather: Whether diseases start at home or abroad, are chronic or acute, curable or preventable, human error or deliberate attack, CDC fights disease and supports communities and citizens to do the same.
