Houston, TX (August 2, 2017) – St. Luke's Health is pleased to announce Indira Vishnampet, senior vice president of XTIVIA, Inc., has been appointed to the system's board of directors.

Vishnampet, a resident of Sugar Land, earned her bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Houston. Early in her career, she worked as an analyst at Aetna U.S. Healthcare in Sugar Land. In 2001, she became a financial analyst at Sysco Food Services, prior to becoming founder and chief executive officer at Hydus, Inc.

With her expertise in operational cost reduction, she increased revenue by 68 percent during an economic downturn by executing a series of development initiatives, and decreased overhead costs by 13 percent while at Hydus.

At XTIVIA, Vishnampet manages the overall operation and sales of the enterprise information management (EIM) unit, as well as the day-to-day operations at the companies offshore center in India.

“Indira's wealth of experience in operations, revenue, business development, and talent acquisition will be invaluable to our board,” said Leonard Tallerine, chairman of St. Luke's Health board of directors. “Her insight and experience will add an important dynamic to our group.”

Throughout her career, Vishnampet has received impressive accolades, including being named as one of the “40 Under 40” by Houston Business Journal, Women Entrepreneur of the Year by the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Houston, Leadership Houston Class of 34 and a “Texas Women on the Move” nominee by Texas Executive Women.

Having served on a number of boards—including St. Luke's Health Sugar Land Hospital's board of directors, where she serves as chairperson—she is looking forward to joining the St. Luke's system board.

“I've been an advocate of our Sugar Land Hospital community for several years, and we've seen growth and improvements there,” Vishnampet said. “I am excited to help increase brand awareness of St. Luke's Health, improve retention, and support system growth in the years to come.”
