St. Luke’s Health-Lakeside Hospital receives Joint Commission accreditation

THE WOODLANDS, TX (August 19, 2024) - St. Luke’s Health-Lakeside Hospital has received accreditation from the Joint Commission for its Advanced Total Hip and Knee Replacement program. Joint Commission accreditation and certification means the hospital complies with the highest national standards for safety and quality of care and is committed to continually improving patient care.

This distinction of excellence indicates St. Luke’s-Lakeside has met and seeks to maintain The Joint Commission’s high standards in providing the next generation of orthopedic care.

Joint Commission standards are patient centric and focus on organizational systems and processes that are essential to the delivery of safe, high-quality care. Standards are informed by evidence-based structures and processes that are indicative of better care including patient rights and education, infection control, medication management and prevention of medical errors. The rigorous evaluation to receive accreditation involves an evaluation of compliance with standards established by the Joint Commission, CMS and OSHA that are designed to improve quality and safety.
