Local Home Health Director Joins State Task Force

The TexasCenterfor Nursing Workforce Studies (TCNWS) recently invited Patricia Jones, RN, Director of Community Services at Memorial Health System of East Texas, to join the 2011 Home Health and Hospice Care Nurse Staffing Study Task Force (HHCNSS).  The primary purpose of the HHCNSS is to assess the size and effects of the nursing shortage in Texas’ home health arena through a survey. The task force will represent the different home health entities across the state and will assist in revising the survey instrument as well as help get the word out to home health agencies regarding the importance of completing this survey. Representatives will also encourage participation from their local home health and hospice agencies during the survey period, and assist in contacting those agencies that did not complete the survey during the follow-up period.  Ms. Jones will represent the East Texas Region.
