Memorial Welcomes New Livingston CEO
Memorial Medical Center—Livingston welcomes Randy Slack as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Mr. Slack had been serving as the interim CEO for the 66 bed hospital since August of this year and was recently appointed to the permanent role.
An accomplished health care executive with more than 22 years experience, Mr. Slack has served in numerous hospital leadership roles. Most recently he completed a five year tenure as CEO for the Gulf Coast Medical Center in Wharton, Texas. He held CFO and Interim CEO positions at Mission Hospital in Mission, Texas and served as the CFO at Odessa Regional Hospital. Mr. Slack also spent time at Westwood Medical Center in Midland, Texas where he held the position of Vice President and CFO.
As a graduate of Louisiana State University, Mr. Slack earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and later completed accounting and business courses to become a Certified Public Accountant.

Over the last several months he has had a positive influence on managing daily hospital operations, employee and physician relations,” said Gary Looper, President & CEO for Memorial Health System of East Texas. “His impressive health care experience is key to our hospital system as we work through the many challenges facing healthcare today.”
Memorial Medical Center—Livingston Board Chair, Corky Evans, says Randy has already proven to be a great addition to the Memorial family and the community. “Randy has strong experience in hospital administration and possesses the knowledge and skills needed to help grow our hospital and enhance existing services,” said Evans.
Mr. Slack and his wife Shelly will reside in the Livingston area.
