Rashard Johnson Named Vice President of Operations at St. Luke's Health - The Woodlands Hospital

St. Luke’s Health–The Woodlands Hospital has named Rashard Johnson as Vice President of Operations and Chief Operating Officer. Johnson brings more than 10 years of healthcare management and executive leadership experience to St. Luke’s.

“Rashard’s impressive background makes him a tremendous asset in helping us implement our operational initiatives here in The Woodlands,” said David Argueta, FACHE, President of St. Luke’s Health–The Woodlands, Lakeside and Springwoods Village Hospitals. “He brings an extraordinary mix of talent and enthusiasm that I believe will support our mission to thrive in the communities we serve.”

Johnson will oversee a variety of clinical services, such as neurosciences, perioperative services, and ancillary services, including imaging, plant operations, and clinical engineering. Additionally, he will provide support for outpatient clinics, including the Wound Care Center, Performance Medicine, Liver Clinic, and Sleep Center.

“I’m excited to work for a hospital that is ushering a new era of healthcare dedicated to creating healthy communities,” said Johnson. “I look forward to implementing key operational strategies that will drive growth at our hospital.”

Johnson joins the St. Luke’s from UT Southwestern Medical Center, where he served as Assistant Vice President of Support Services for UT Southwestern University Hospitals and Clinics. Prior to joining UT Southwestern, he held leadership positions at Jackson Health System, VA Healthcare System, and the Department of Elder Affairs in Miami.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in health sciences and a master’s in healthcare administration from the University of Central Florida. He also is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and served as president of the Dallas, Fort Worth Chapter of the National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE).
