Santa Wants You to Be Healthy and Safe this Holiday Season

Posted in:

It’s that time of year for spending time with family and friends, making memories and remembering your health. Come join Jolly Old St. Nick, St. Luke’s Health-Memorial Livingston and a host of vendors at the annual Santa’s Health & Safety Education Fair on Saturday, December 17.

The free event is open to the public from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the hospital’s main lobby.

St. Luke’s Health encourages families of all ages to come learn about kids and car safety, ATV and bicycle safety, respiratory education and much more. There will be games, cookies and punch, door prizes and giveaways – including brand new bicycles and gifts from Santa for every child, while supplies last. Hospital staff will measure height, weight, BMI, and blood pressure.

St. Luke’s Health-Memorial Clinics general surgeon Camille Blackledge will give a presentation on minimally invasive surgery at noon in the hospital Community Conference Center. Lunch will be served to the first 30 guests who RSVP prior to the event to 936-329-8726.

Other community partners include Americare EMS, Texan EMS, PHI, Livingston Volunteer Fire Department, Livingston Police Department  and the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, who will bring their emergency vehicles and a helicopter for everyone to check out.
