St. Luke’s Health Announces Leadership Positions

HOUSTON (March 18, 2025) – St. Luke’s Health, a member of CommonSpirit Health, today announced two key leadership appointments, reflecting the health system’s commitment to providing exceptional care and strengthening its presence in the communities it serves.

Steven Daniel: President, St. Luke's Health-Patients Medical Center

Steven Daniel has been appointed President of St. Luke's Health-Patients Medical Center, effective March 24. He spent much of the past two decades with the CHRISTUS Spohn Health System in roles including Hospital President and CEO, Vice President of Performance Improvement & Ancillary Services, and Senior Vice President of Community Hospitals.

“Steven brings a wealth of experience in hospital administration and a proven track record of success in driving operational excellence and enhancing patient experience,” said Michael Lawson, Houston Market President of St. Luke’s Health. “I am confident that under Steven's leadership, Patients Medical Center will continue to thrive and provide outstanding care.”

Kyle Sims: Market VP of Ambulatory & Post-Acute Services

Kyle Sims has assumed responsibility for the ambulatory strategy across the Houston, Brazos Valley, and East Texas markets as Market Vice President of Ambulatory & Post-Acute Services. In this new role, Kyle is responsible for overseeing and expanding St. Luke’s ambulatory and post-acute services across, ensuring convenient and accessible care for patients.

“Kyle consistently demonstrates exceptional leadership and a deep understanding of the health care landscape,” said Lawson. “Her strategic vision, commitment to innovation, and over a decade of experience with our ministry are invaluable as we continue to grow our network.”

Steven Foster previously served as President of Patients Medical Center prior to becoming President & CEO of Mercy General Hospital, a CommonSpirit facility in Sacramento.
