St. Luke’s Health Names Jane Stirrup Vice President, Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer at Patients Medical Center

HOUSTON (April 22, 2021) – St. Luke’s Health is pleased to announce that effective immediately, Jane Stirrup, RN, MSN CENP, CPHQ HACP, has been named Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer at St. Luke’s Health – Patients Medical Center (PMC). Stirrup will provide leadership in the delivery of nursing care, treatment, and services. She will work collaboratively with senior leadership, clinical staff, and physicians at PMC to ensure clinical patient care standards are achieved in line with our Mission and Values, and will oversee all patient care units and work to support nursing practice and service. Jane has served as Interim Vice President, Patient Care Services for Patients Medical since last November. 

A nurse and administrator, Stirrup brings more than 30 years of professional nursing and administrative leadership to the ministry. Before joining St. Luke’s Health in an interim nurse leadership role, Stirrup served as Associate Vice President of Nursing and Clinical Operations – Memorial Hermann Orthopedic & Spine Hospital (MHOSH). Her experience spans four decades, multiple nursing disciplines and two continents, having studied to become a registered nurse and beginning her career in Liverpool, England.

Stirrup holds a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Nursing, trained to become a registered general nurse at Edge Hill University and earned a diploma in Social Work for Residential Care. She is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt, a Certified Executive in Nursing Practice and a Healthcare Accreditation Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality.
